product of the day.♥. glycerin

glycerin is one of my favorite products, i literally add it to everything i make,
i believe that this is a important product to add to your product junkie list lol!

So what is glycerin?

Glycerin is a neutral, sweet-tasting, colorless, thick liquid that can be dissolved into water or alcohol, but not oils.

Glycerin is a humectant, meaning it attracts moisture from the air and adds it to your hair and skin.

Glycerin is a natural by-product of the soap-making process, commercial manufacturers use glycerin in everything from lotions to conditioners.


Benefits of glycerin:
glycerin is beneficial for hair as well as skin. Dry brittle hair will benefit greatly, if you suffer from a dry or flaky scalp, rubbing vegetable glycerine on to it can alleviate this. In addition to its moisturizing properties, it also strengthens the hair and makes breakage and split ends less likely.

it is wonderful for your skin as well, it helps to keep your skin well moisturized,
this is very beneficial in the winter and summer months.
it's also hypoallergenic!


(TIP) when adding glycerin to your hair oils,
make sure you shake it up every time you use it,
because glycerin separates from oil.

I love adding glycerin to my moisturizing sprays!
list of ingredients:
1 cup of water
1 teaspoon of coconut oil or olive oil
1-2 teaspoons of glycerin
feel free to add a few drops of fragrance oil to your mix.
shake it up and your good to go!
you now have your own home made moisturizing spray.

I have not bought any moisturizing spray from the bss, in over 3 years!
this mixture works very well, on every type if hair grade!
