hey everyone!
well if you haven't been following me on twitter or watching me on youtube,
i just wanted to let you know, that i finally cut the relaxer out of my off my hair =)
it was a hard decision but in the end i am glad i did it!
i wore my hair to work the next day everyone was shocked a lot of people liked it, but of course a few people had an issues with it, which i don't understand cus it's MY HAIR!
i am getting more and more used to it, i can't keep my hands out of my head lol
at times, i feel 2pac cus all eyes are on me, but as the day go by i am getting more comfortable with it and myself, i no longer think that people will assume that i am a boy.
i am going to post the video,so please check it out and i'm going to post some pics=)
i have to work early in the morning so i am keeping this short,
i will be back sunday with a full blog.
my hair was even longer then this but this was me last year around this time
i have learned so much about natural hair, so since i know how to grow my hair to it's full potential, i hope to have full arm pit or bsl length natural hair by oct 2010!!
i may start another challenge... so stay tuned!
i am going full force ladies i want long 100% natural hair
by oct 2010=)
after a year with out a relaxer, i am at full shoulder length when stretched=)
so don't get it twisted ladies, you can have a healthy happy transition, you do not have to have a fade to go "natural" you can cut your hair when you get comfortable, don't let anyone pressure you or make you feel bad about YOUR HAIR DE SCIONS.
i have to work early tomorrow, i am rocking my satin bonnet to bed=)
have a safe and happy weekend=)

congratulations you look great! i don't think you'll have any problems with people thinking you look like a boy though. i just tried to go 3 months w/o a perm and i quit at a month and a half. i really don't have the $ or patience to invest in trying to go natural now. hopefully you don't let the societal stereotypes bug you. as long as you wear your beautiful hair with confidence everyone else will be convinced. i'm proud of you, though! it looks really good.
Great! Your hair is beautiful, you won't regret your decision and you'll be in love with your hair more and more each day!!you look beautiful! yay
You are such an inspiration because I do not want to do a BC either. I am planning on transitioning until I feel ready to cut my hair. Going natural is already a big step for me and you have shown me that I don't have to rock a fade to do it. Much Luv from the Chi!!!!
