2009 fashion trends

I was looking for some of the latest trends that are coming up for 2009
Here are some of the things I found that are going to be big in 2009!

Single -shoulder tops & dresses

Break out your strapless bra, one-shoulder tops are going to be hot this year! Asymmetrical dresses were all over the Spring 2009 runways, and it’s already a trend that’s being picked up by mainstream stores like wet seal, rule 21,body central ect...
this style was very popular a few year back, I still have quite a few of these shirts so I'm
glad I kept a few of them lol









Ripped jeans

These are huge already, but they’re going to get even bigger in 09!
I’m not talking a few holes in the knees of your denim, I mean seriously shredded jeans!
Stores like Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch they sell their own versions.
I would recommend ripping them your self....... that is what i always did in the past, you can get some $10 jeans cut them up how you want, they will look as good as any $100 jeans!!







Metallics

Metallics Styles that feature Gold, Silver, Bronze, Sequins & Metallic Finishes
are not going anywhere anytime soon! i am happy about this i ♥ metallic!
Metallics are always hot and I don’t see that changing much this year.
so i will continue to rock my silver n♥ gold lol






Wide-leg & skinny jeans!!

Last year’s wide-leg denim trend is still going strong, so are skinny jeans yeahhhhh, y'all know how i feel about my skinnies lol!
I recommend investing in both styles of denim, if you like them both, but if not, pick the one that you think flatters you the best. Both styles are great on many figures.
I ♥ my wide legs but my skinnies are my favorite.





Bold colors !!
Bright shades are always hot for spring, but even more so this year! The most popular colors will be hot pink, purple, orange, electric blue, and yellow.
so make sure to focus on these colors and rock a lot of bright colored accessories!






Sheer

Sheer clothing is usually in style for spring, but i have been seeing people in all of the fashion magazines rocking their sheer gear lol a lot of club/party type clothing are focusing on sheer designs as well. so ladies this is a year for sheer so rock it how you want but do remember it's sheer lol!









More body-conscious clothing

Loose is not going to be in for 2009, so learn to love tighter clothing that cinches you in at the waist. This is a definite trend for the year. midriff tops are back ladies!! this take me back to high school when aaliyah crop tops were real popular, me and my girls had some but now that i have 2 kids i won't be rocking any midriff tops lol.....but i am working out so i will be able to pull off the waist clinching out fits.... wii fit don't fail me now lol!!.








Remember to also focus on your own individual style, this has always worked for me....
I follow some trends, but i prefer to set my own! so be creative a lil bit of this and a lil bit of that
rock the pieces that work for you, and skip what ever doesn’t.
